1. Description

HF-003 Hongfeng No.3 fiber reinforced rubber asphalt sealant is a waterproof sealant made of high-quality petroleum asphalt as the base material, with the addition of resin, polymer, diluent, fiber and a variety of additives. This product has both waterproof and sealing functions and is a high-quality waterproof sealing material.

1. Use

Suitable for sealing the edges and terminal ends of membranes, and can also be used for sealing horizontal joints, vertical joints, corners, arc treatment, pipe roots, downspouts, etc.

1. Advantages

• Convenient construction: The product can be constructed at room temperature, ready to use after opening the barrel, no heating required, convenient construction, and can be applied once;
• Green and environmentally friendly: The product is non-toxic, odorless, pollution-free, and non-corrosive;

1. Construction application

Recommended Usage and Pot Life
Under normal conditions, the amount of sealant used is (0.05 to 0.1) kg/m.
Key Construction Procedures
Cleaning of overlapping edges/ends of rolled materials → application of sealant → acceptance → protection of finished products.
Basic requirements: Clean the gaps between the overlapping edges and terminal ends of the asphalt membrane.

• Use a sealant extrusion gun or a small flat shovel to embed the sealant into the overlapped edge of the roll material or the part that needs to be sealed;
• Then use a scraper or a small flat shovel to press the embedded sealant tightly, smooth it, and press it firmly to ensure that it is firmly adhered to the seam wall;
• The joints should be slanted, and there should be no gap between the sealant and the overlapped edge to prevent air from being trapped, so that the part that needs to be sealed is filled with sealant;
• After the construction is completed, pay attention to protection, and do not damage it with external force within 48 hours to ensure that it is fully cured and formed.

1. Transportation & Storage

• This product contains solvents. When transporting, please pay attention to safety, fire prevention, rain, exposure, extrusion, collision, keep the packaging intact and comply with the relevant regulations of the transportation department.
• This product should be stored in a well-ventilated and dry place, avoid direct sunlight, avoid exposure to sunlight, and keep away from fire and heat sources.
• This product needs to be stored in a sealed container. Long-term storage with the lid open will easily cause the solvent to evaporate, resulting in skinning or increased viscosity, affecting construction.
• Under normal transportation, unopened, undamaged storage conditions, the storage period is 6 months from the date of production.

1. Notice

• Wear rubber gloves and safety goggles or other protective equipment when using the product. If the product accidentally comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical assistance if the condition persists. If the skin is accidentally injured, avoid contact until the wound is fully healed.
• Construction is not allowed in rainy, snowy or adverse conditions.
• The caulking should be dense, continuous, full and free of bubbles.
• Construction workers and construction sites should take appropriate safety precautions, and smoking and using open flames are strictly prohibited on site.
• If it comes into contact with your eyes, please rinse immediately with plenty of water. If you still feel uncomfortable, seek medical attention as soon as possible.
